What should i shift at when daily driving to be easy on my engine and conserve gas?

3500-4000 that is what i used to do but now its more like 4500.

you shift at 4grand for daily (conservative) driving? hehe.. damn that's high.. in my zx2 I shift about 2800.. in my truck I used to shift at about 2000.. hehe. but it was an all TQ truck motor, redlined at 5500.. hehe.

Yeah, for me I shift at 3200 for 1-2, 3000 2-3, 2800 3-5, 2500 4-5. You can shift at about 2300-2500 for better gas mileage. IF your wondering how Im so exact Im not, but I come clos to that by listening to the engine, gives a different noise at 3000+, really helpful.

Yea...I shift at 3k and I have a turbo get about 26-32 MPG...I know I'm not even utilizing the boost, but ocassionally I'll punch it 3/4 just to make sure the turbo is still there (haha)
