#18859, "57mm TB!!!!!!!"

Well I just packed up my intake mani and tb headed for Houston TX, ARD. Owen says he has a 57mm TB waiting for me. Yes thats right no type o 57mm. Should be back in a week or so. I will let you all know how sweet the tb really is. If any body has some larger injector they would like to let go this would probably be a good time for me to change them emoji Since I'm sending my Tb to ARD I guess that means He will have another 57mm available shortly! WHO will get the next one?

Yes I am having the intake ported polished and gasket matched. These should be excellent together. Advanced Racing Dynamics in Houston TX is doing the work for $150 for everything. Thats a pretty a sweet deal!! Their # is713-984-9140.

I have just sent the mani and Tb to them yesterday and can't wait to recieve it back. Owen says that he gave it some shape and left the hump in there which most places bore right out with the rest of the metal. This hump according to Owen (and I hope that I'm not misquoting him) is like the wing of an air plane where as it creates lift which = more air flow. He told me there is still plenty of metal left and he did test it with excellent results of air volume travelling through, but I don't remember the numbers exactly.

I got the same job done, should have the engine running again in a week or so, I'll let you know of the tb will hold a decent idle. The manifold looks real good, I am really happy with Owen's workmanship, expecially for the money.

Hmm. I wasnt aware that ARD was in Houston. I'm curious on some opinions here. Extrude honed manifold VS ARD ported/polished manifold. Houston's only an hour away from where I live. It'd be a good excuse to see Dino and Mike again emoji

Extrude honed = $360
ARD P&P = $80

Best thing to do if you got the money ... P&P then Extrude hone.

BTW Extruding and honing will not increase the size of the ports it just makes the insides really damn smooth.
