OK guys, time for me to get a new clutch. 142K on the odo and it's still stock and starting to slip. I know that ACT doesn't make clutches for us so what else is out there? Also, how much should I expect to pay for labor?

Labor will be expensive because we have FWD. I know because I had this done. Make sure you go to a respected place that will guarantee their work. I learned the hard way and had my car break down an hour away from my house. The reason was that the mechanic tried to do the job too fast in order to do other jobs that same day. Lucky for me my dad was working about 5 minutes away from where I was so I was able to get home.

BTW it broke down only 2 days after he had first fixed it.

I paid $250 for the labor on changing my clutch. It only took 5 hours for the shop to do it.

I recommend the Clutchmasters clutch, what stage you pick depends on the power you plan on making. I got a stage 3 but now wish I had stage 4 non modular with a light flywheel.

I'm not planning on boosting, so the only other mod that I'm looking to do would be the AFX UDP. Who sells clutchmaster clutches?

BTW, they new clutch is awesome!!!!! I read some negative things about the CF DF after I bought it and was a little aprehensive, but now I now they was hatin' because its awesome!!! (although the clutch is a little squishy i think it needs to be bleed, even though we didnt disconnect the slave cylinder line....any ideas?)

I would like to replace my clutch. Whats the diffrence in the cm 3 and 4. Is it cm 3 is a 2100 lb clamping force and 4 is 2600 lb with higher pedal pressue? and where can I get a good lightened flywheel?

and another thing. Doesn't the lightend flywheel make the car less streetable. I can't let the clutch out and roll with ease, or slip the clutch on a hill very well?

You can't install a lightened flywheel unless you change to a non modular clutch. The stock clutch is a modular unit that is rivited together.

Yeah, everything Fast420a said, plus this....ACT doesnt make clutches for our cars, theyre the only company that identifies their clutches as 2100lb and 2600lb. Clutchmasters uses a Stage 1-6 system. Stage 4 clutches hold 170% more power over stock, and the pedal pressure is very light. I myself, have a CM Stage 4.
