I dont think it will make too big of a difference but I think someone ran a test-pipe with a stock muffler and said it sounded like ass.

Maybe get a gs-t muffler, thats what Im doing. My ears hurt from my exhaust also.

I like how I make car alarms go off and wake up my neighbors in the morning when I leave for work. hehehe

It used to bother my ears but after two years, I'm used to it. My wife says it sounds very manly.

LOL. Yea i set car alarms off like crazy. But my car is on the friggin ground and the way the eclipse is designed the muffler hangs out and down so it scrapes and pops. I'm lookin for a different sound. I should have left the stock on and got eibach springs instead of these coil overs cause i bounce like theres no tomorrow! GRRR!LOL.

most cars with stock mufflers and no resonator are hondas from what I've seen. And we all know the typical honda "buzz" Just get a glasspack resonator in place of your stock one, and leave your muffler on. You'll love the sound.

on a 4cylinder motor you ALWAYS want to run a good resonator.. it is what keeps the raspiness out and makes it sound deeper. Not the muffler.
