ok i just bought my car like 3 weeks ago and am trying to figure out what i should do as my first mod and need some help. i plan on getting a stage II turbo system in a few months (star or HRC?)and i don't want to buy anything that i don't need or will be replacing. i am also about to do a tune up just to put my mind at ease and i've noticed alot of you guys have 8mm wires, do they make a lot of diference...and what kind should i get if so.

since you don't wanna replace anything, cai is outta the question, get an exhaust, plugs, wires, and then save for the turbo / gauges and controllers

hehe, dont buy a header and dont buy an intake. then u wont have to swap nada for your turbo install.

there is a stage list of mods on the main page, but i didnt follow that. read up on here, and u will be able to figure out what u should do.

check peoples websites and search the forums.

good luck

i personally run magnacore 8.5mm wires. i have heard that 8mm and 8.5 mm are the same, but the 8.5 have more insulation in the wires. they look better than stock, keep a smoother idle, and created a different feel in the upper rpm range (smoother accel to redline/fuel cut i guess). u should also run NGK plugs, bkr5e-11 or 6s....
u may want to search on UDPs, bored throttle body, etc...

also a good mod for you to do is the free airbox mod. It gives a nice little power boost over stock and the sound is amazing. Fast420a and I are both running this setup w/ a K&N filter.

i am planning on buying lowering springs soon. i just put 17" katana concept fives on and i have a gap big enough for a family of gnomes to live in. also, if i bought a cai now would i have to replace it when i get the turbo?

Ok, forget a second about the Fast and the Furious. The very first thing you should do, that's cheap and will yield your engine the greatest hp gain and in the end prolong the life of the engine is.... a tune up. Go to your local Satan (or do it yourself) and change the fuel filter..oil...etc. Basically, just follow Stage I (from the mods secton on the web site) because you're gettting a turbo

If you are going turbo soon then dont bother with the CAI, it cant be used once you go turbo. The gains are not that great to warrant spending 200 bucks just for a couple months, put that in your turbo fund.

yeah, my apexi n1 is coming in the mail tomorrow...woohoo, if you get a huge exhaust w/o the turbo on there it'll slow you down. i'd save up for the turbo and then get the exhaust.
