#17851, "machining for arp head bolts?"

I remember reading(and now I can't find it) that to use the ARP head bolts, the 4 corners of the head where the top of the 4 short bolts rest has to be machined down, and 2 washers need to be used. Does anyone know the specifics of this and if it is correct? thanks.

You don't have to machine the head at all. You still need 2 washers where it calls for them.

Thanks for the link, I was trying to search it in this forum. I'm still confused about the machining, you say that I don't have to machine but the link says that I do. Any clarification on that? Also are these true studs with no head on them unlike the factory bolts? Is that why I would need to get 10 nuts as well? Thanks for the help so far!!

These are true studs, that is why you need to get the nuts. As far as machining the head, Kiku and Armond have both confirmed for me, since they have them and I am about to ordering them, that NO machining is needed but you do need what is listed on that link.
