Well newguy, if you do a search with the search function, i bet you will find several posts about it, not too long ago there was one on the different meanings of the clipses/talons. But to shed a little light on the subject...Eclips- Rs=base model, Chrysler 420A motor, 140 hp..GS=same motor as RS, and more interior power functions, rear disk brakes, and rear anti-sway bar. GST= Mitusbishi 4g63 Turbo motor, around 200+ hp stock, and all the suspension goodies. GSX= all wheel drive version of GST, mitsu turbo motor. The talon models are identical to the clipse except some exterior differences..The ESI is like the GS, and the TSI is the GSX version. Any yes, it is possible to swap motors, but VERY costly to do so, check out the "things we've seen before" section, lots of FAQ's there about the swap, and many other things that will help you out. Reliability is excellent with both motors, with the 420A motor having some head gasket issues with older models, and the mitsu motor having some issues with "crankwalk". If properly maintained, both cars/motors will last a very long time, as with any car for that matter. The 420A stock, can handle up to 300 hp on stock internal parts, which makes it great for up to 9 lbs of turbo boost pressure. Two main turbo bolt on kits are the Starr and Hann Racecraft. Well thats a little for you, do a search for more info, and check out the first section on the forum main page...
