Well the engine is out!!! It took about 7hours start to finish, not too bad. No broken bolts, ripped hose's, or busted knuckles, Thank god for air tools emoji. Tomorrow were tearing into the guts, and dropping off parts at the machine shop. Then we'll remove the tranny and axels (left them in when we removed the engine)Lots more to come... Check out the pic's in the link...

Your about two week behind me. I wish I had two people helping me. It took me 16 hours by myself. I got my block back yesterday, I will post some pics later. What are you putting in? (howell kit) Get a different ring if so. I have herd the total seal rings suck because they dont always seat. I went w/ JE rings.

Nice shop! Where is it located?

I see you kept your tranny in place. It probably would have saved you time in pulling the engine AND tranny together if you plan on doing work on your tranny (i.e. welding the diff press pin or swapping differential all together).

Anyways, great work. Looking foward to see your engine backtogether.

Yea it's a Howell kit. I've heard good things about there rings?? (total seal) But they are also very perticular about how they need to go in and be broken in.

I'm paying 160 to have my crank, pistons, roda, rings balanced. And 45 to have the head cleaned and resurfaced.

I'd put in a UDP if i had any extra cash emoji

The shop is a buddy from work's, its fat huh..
I will be pulling the tranny next friday and the axels, it was easer to just pull out the engin with then still on. Plus since i'm not sure about how to take them out, i thought it would be easer if the engine was out of the way.
