fellas, first a lil background.

i had an oil leak a while back, and fixed it. my breather pissd oil all over my valve cover, so im runnin a tube to my intake for the past month or so. i dont leak oil anymore. (need a catchcan bad!)

i have smelled oil burnin for a decent amount of time, but have thought that it was the excess crap left on the engine from my leak just burnin off. well, the smell isnt as profound as it used to be, but....

whenever i run thru a gear, or get into the upper rpm range(like 5+k to red line) right after, im smellin oil. it either goes away after a lil while, or i get used to it.

compression is 175 cross the board emoji , decent enuff to roll...

any clues??
(i run my air on the settin that is recirculatin air from the back, not straight from the front of the car if that means anything)

oh yeah, i do get a deceent amount of oil in my intake tube, and it has soaked the furthest to the ground portion of my K&N emoji

i check the oil ratehr religiously, and whenever its low, i correct it, but i have been puttin in more the past two or three checks, usually a half qt, up to a qt last time... its checked every other week maybe, or like 500-800 miles

Sounds like my oil consumption/burning. I had 175, Now it's 160 and I am about to rebuild.

I get that all the time. I just know it's blowby running back throught the throttle body and then making that smell. I just add oil whenever necessary and keep an eye on things.

So long as she keeps running strong and fluids are good, just keep runn'in her.

Until you get a catchcan I would run a hose from the nipple on top of the valve cover to a little gatorade bottle and poke holes in the top of it. That way you can see how much oil is blowing by and it doesn't go back into the intake then onto the TB.
