I was driving around today when my clutch got messed up. I was driving, and when I pushed the clutch in I heard a pop. The peddle went to the floor and the clutch stopped working, any ideas as to what is wrong with it? It is going to the shop right now but I won't have it back for a week cause I am going on vacation. Just wanted to know what some of you thought could have happened. Also, I got it into a drive way, and couldn't start it for a long time with the clutch in. Then my dad came to pick me up and it started, but it wouldn't die with the clutch out and it in gear.

It's likely a hydralics issue, not the clutch iself. Check both the master and slave cylinders as well as the clutch fluid level. if both of those check out, the clutch itself may have given out, or you broke your shift lever or fulcrum.
