My friend wants to get the N1 muffler and he asked me to find out a price range, can someone help me out? also does anybody know a site that has a sound file of it or something?

I have the Cat-back N1 non-turbo exhaust. It was &570 from MachV. I don't know about the sound file though, but I have to say I have the best sounding car now.

It is a pretty expensive cat-back or muffler, but worth it. I love my N1 and it sounds great. Just make sure if he gets the catback to get a new gasket and bolts for the pipe/cat connection, the old ones will be pretty bad if your friends car is as old as mine.

I guess no one ever listens to me... why dont you just have custom piping made and get a 80mm inlet N! universal muff off ebay or somewhere, you gotta be smartshoppers guys! and you can get rid of that nasty bend up by the muffler, well atleast i know factory piping, and greddy piping have that bend, dunno about the n1 catback..

Exactly what Super20g said. I got the universal N1 and had 2.5" custom bent. Total cost $265!

where are people getting these cheap prices for custom pipes? i asked a place near where i am and they said 250$ not including muffler for a 3" press bent exhaust, that's gay if you ask me. that would put me at just over 450$ for a custom system and i've found n1 cat backs for 471.95$ for our cars (the 80mm turbo one, listed for a gst): http://www.rev-industries.com/apexihtml/apexiN1pricelist.htm
the cheapest i found the muffler itself was about 210$ for the colored black ones and about 137 for the noraml ones off of ebay somewhere.

i just talked to someone on the phone who said the n1 cat back is only just over 2" is diameter...like 2.3 or something, 80mm is just over 3"...at this rate it would be better for me to order the passetter...the exhaust shops are expensive as hell around here apparenly, i just called another place and nobody will even touch manderl bent stuff for some odd reason. could anyone help!?? i'd like 3" all the way back w/ an n1 muffler, at least thats what i'm shooting for...

I would try looking at overboost.com. I got my muffler there (non-turbo) for $245 including shipping from cali. to fl. and all that good stuff. I think the turbo cat-back is around $480 or so, but i could be mistaken. Very well constucted and is very nice looking. A friend of mine had one on his NT 96 GS and it turned a cool golden color after a while. A shop around here in Jax is gonna put it on for $75-100 bucks including any adaptors they have to make.

The "turbo" universal N1 has an 80mm inlet and a huge outlet. I measured mine before it was on the car. The eclipse N1 or the "non-turbo" (or whatever they call it) N1 might have a smaller opening.

I got mine for 225 shipped from fusion-racing.com

WOW, what a deal I just got. $75 off Ebay for an N1 muffler. Definately go to Ebay and check it out. Type in 'N1 muffler'.

to note: those are just look alikes, and not a "real" N1 muffler.. but it should do about the same thing.

Best deal out there is the pacesetter 2.5" cat back and then any muffler you want welded on it. But nobody listens. The whole catback is $160 then add whatever your muffler costs. It is by far the best deal you can ever get on a mandrel bent 2.5" cat back. And 3" piping only adds a VERY little amount of hp over the 2.5" when your running 5-15psi. Myself, Jason ESI-T, and Stan all use this setup. I think I have posted about this 4-5 times.

well if you get one and it doesnt have N1 or Apex-i on it, you'll know.. emoji plus it says N1 "style" which means more or less that it looks sim to the N1 mufflers.. all im saying is that if you want a real N1 muffler you will have to pay from 150-200 for one.. but if all you want is the look you can get the other look alikes.. im not sure of any real performance differences, but im sure most of the cost for an N1 is the name.
