I just put an intake on my car and I have noticed a gain in hp. But it sounds almost the same as stock. I was wondering if its because im an automatic or if its another reason. TAI

The sound will depend on the intake. Pipe diameter, filter design, filter location, and any filter covers will change the sound. I noticed a real change in sound with my old Akimoto short ram and AT. A cool-air box damped the sound considerably.

I have a Ractive Superflow intake and the pipe is probably around 3" in diameter. I cant use the battery tie down with it. The filter its self is big too. I guess it doesnt matter, I just wanted the cool sound ive heard from other cars.
