Ok so this is my first post so forgive me if I do something wrong... hehehe... anyway every time I get on the gas a little in my 95 RS i hear a rattle from the exaust, I do not have access to a lift and was wondering if anyone had a picture of the underbody of the car with markings where the brackets are that hold the tailpipe on or I guess it could also be the heat shields rattling, I'm not too sure. I'm just hoping that I can get under the car quickly and tighten up some bolts and get rid of the rattle wihtout having to . The second issue I have is with the drivers side window. If I do not have the window all the way up or all the way down it is loose toward the back side of the door, I can move it in and out with my hand and was wondering if anyone had a door shot that would help me to locate the problematic bolt... this is not a power window, just a crank. I'd appreciate any help I could get and thank you in advance for any you would provide
On another note that has nothing to do with the above, I am looking for a GPS navagation system that outputs to a RCA plug for a LCD display screen, I have found cheap 6" LCDs and want to mount one in my car for GPS but want the GPS first, hopefully they can be found at a reasonable cost... hehehe Have any of you done any internal electronic mods like this and if so do you have any pics? Thanks again

I had the same problem... I bought a brand new catback (pacesetter) for 160 bucks, sounds better, drives better, and no more rattles It prob is the bracket holding it up or the heat shields depending on where the noise is

This is caused by loose runners inside the door. You will get this as the car gets older... What you have to do it take the door apart and get your fingers in there and tighten up the screws so it doesnt do that any more

I would say the tailpipe is heat shields. I have had a MAJOR problem with them and they are bugging the crap outta me.

your exhaust rattle could be one of your hangers.
u gotta jack her up, and check em. usually one of the rubber things breaks, and doesnt support the pipes, which creates the rattle.
for the window, it was brought up b4, so try to search. i remember sumthin about felt, and that it wears, and u gotta tighten it up so it pushes againts the window to make it so it dont rattle.
good luck

This one look bad azz.. and is the one I am buying, http://mp3playerstore.com/stuff_you_need/special/index.html I can't decide weather to mount it on the passenger side of the center console or mount it from the roof of the car in the center, but it comes with a remote (no tv tuner don't ask me why) and a nice mount, plus it can flip the screen when mounted from the roof... nice addition... from this I plan to build a low Wattage computer and output a RCA cable to this screen at 320x240 so you can see it, then mount a touchpad somewhere in the center console, so really I'll be able to do anything (GPS, DVD's, MP3 Player, games, and I'm even going all out and mounting a wireless 802.11b antenna in the car so when I'm parked in the city I can get access to the net from my campus connection, I hope, although this relies on LOS.) I'm a techie and not really much of a car modifier so if any of you guys live in Columbus and are good at mods we could combine our powers and come out of it with one bad azz system in the car. Did I mention that when i get close to my house I will get wireless to my internal network to tranfer MP3's and other data without taking anything out of the car

Sounds like your exhaust hangers are getting kinda old and might need replaced to kill that rattle. As far as the window goes, when you take the door skin off, along the top edge of the door if you look down in from the top you'll see 3 little felt things that press against the glass. They are adjustable and put the pressure on the gless to keep it from rattling, but over time they wear down. All you have to do is screw them out a lil bit and they should tighten up against the glass and kill that rattle. The glass will always move a little bit when you have it halfway just because of the fact we have no frame around it to hold it in place. Just don't get to happy tightening those felt things or you might end up cracking the glass. Should only take about a turn turn and a half to snug them up........found out about those the hard way when some ass decided to relieve me of my passenger side glass for no apparent reason...

damn dude.. both of those LCD's look nice for a good price.. the first one you posted looks like it'd be better for a custom mounting job (like the roof or in dash or whatever) But the second one looks goo to just sit it right on the dash or console or floor or something, so I think it's a matter of where you want it mounted, if you want it on the roof, i'd go for the first one with a nice plastic enclosure built around it. ehh.. it's up to you.
