i know a guy in town that will seel me a Cold Air Intake system for $100. it isn't AEM....but the horsepower and sound should be somewhat close to an AEM, right? Should I go for it?

I'd get the AEM. You pay for what you get. AEM is proven quality. Well worth $200.

If your dead set on the AEM then go for it. However, realize that it is just a pipe with a K&N Filter, which you can get about anywhere, on the end. Your paying $160 for the name and a piece of plastic (I've seen the filter for $40). I'm not discounting the performance gains but with the money saved you could buy some other items for your toy.

LAST EDITED ON 15-May-01 AT 03:26 PM (PST)

check out www.landspeedracing.com
i got my AEM from them for $180 and the by pass valve for $34.95 and the shipping was free. Customer service is pretty good and the delievery time is fast. I ordered mine on a friday afternoon and got it a week later. FYI-thats from Cali all the way across country to florida. Just thought I'd give ya a heads-up.
