#1664, "Rebuild Engine?"

Ok here's the deal...I want to put a turbo on my car, but my car has almost 100k miles on it Should I go ahead and get my engine rebuilt before going turbo? My clutch just went out and I figured that I could get my engine rebuilt while getting my clutch fixed. Any Thoughts on what I should do, is an engine with such high mileage safe o put turbo onto?? Thanks for any help!

have the engine diagnosed first for cracks anything and everything before hand .. than look into a rebuild ...firstsee if its worth it ..

I just got a new engine for my gs. My old one had 110,000 miles on it and it was under warranty so the company found me an engine with 70,000 miles on it, it was 1500.00 for the engine and another 800.00 for install. They said that if they rebuilt mine then it would be 2500.00. Just dont get it done at Mits. they said that it would run from 3000.00-8000.00. If you are looking to put a turbo in, and you have to rebuild yours I would go ahead and put in new performance parts, ones that can handle horsepower beyond what the stock ones could do.

Konig 18" Tantrums
Tenzo 1.5" springs
Aerogear 6-vent hood
GTR-wide wing
97+ headlights
"sports" altezza's
Taylor 8mm red wires
Brospeed header
