I plan to buy the Crane Hi-6DI2 with timing retard control plus i will need two tach adapters, and a map sensor since i got a turbo.. I was looking at the map sensor on your web site and its pretty big! does that replace the stock one or do you have to custom fit it to the manifold or run a wire ? im a little confused... also the tach adapters do they just plug into the ignition like the msd dis2?... also if it retard by boost proportion does that mean once i hit 1psi and i want to retard 4 degrees will it retard 4 degrees right away or it will start at 1,2,3,4 like the msd dis2? what happens if you need to retard say 6degrees at 15 or 20psi could you do that with the boost proportion?... i was looking on the retard controller and i dont see any #s so how do u know how much you are retarding? also with both tach adapters this will not trip the cel? and also why is it not EO for 97+ ob2? thanks Michael 99gs- hrc stage 2

The trigger box is a better way to go than the tach adapters. The both serve the same function, to make sure the computer doesn't think the Multispark ignition is a misfire. The tach adpaters work, but not as well as the trigger box which is more expensive.
The Map Sensor is in addition to the factory one, and is only used by the Crane ignition. YOu can run a hose to it.
The retard works like this. The dial is set to 20 degrees, and the retard is done by 5 psi of boost. If you set it at 20 degrees it pulls out 4 degrees of timing for every pound of boost till you get to 20. If you set it at 10 degrees it pulls out 2 degrees for every pound until 10 degrees are achieved, and 5 degrees is 1 degree per pound.

the trigger box does it just hook right up easy? also how much is it it's not listened on your website and part #? the map sensor for crane on your website which im looking at now, basiclly you run a hose to the hole in the middle but to the left which sticks up? also where does this hose connect to on the car? and what are the two holes on the side of the map sensor for? i assume to bolt it onto something? and one last thing the big open square like figure on the top part what is that for? as far as the boost proportion goes all i need to retard right now is 4 degree and you mentioned if i wanted to retard 5 degrees it would pull 1 degree per pound so am i able to retard 4 degrees only? also it starts retarding once i hit 1psi till ONLY 5psi and at 5psi its done pulling timing ? why is it not EO for 97+obII? thanks for your time Michael 99gs- hrc stage 2
