i'm getting up some money saved up and am going to get a new cool air intake. my question is would it be better to go with the short ram intake or go the whole 9 yards and go for the whole thing? thanks

Well, I would take your weather into consideration when buying a CAI. I have cold winters where I live so I convert my CAI to a short ram for the winter. You will notice more pull in your car and a deeper sound with a CAI than a shortram. If you only drive your car in nice weather and never have to go through any water I recommend the AEM CAI. But if weather is a factor where you live, I would then recommend getting an intake setup that you can convert to a shortram if you have to. You will love the sound your intake will make.

Yeah, I totally agree, the only reason I have a CAI that I can convert into a shortram is because of the extremely cold weather up here. I need the shortram to help my car warm up in the morning.
