the A/C hose on my car closest to the down pipe has a hole in it. I guess the heat from the downpipe heated up the rubber so much it finally gave out. I am going to replace the hose very soon. Would you guys wrap the down pipe or put something on the rubber hose to sheild it from the heat? Tell me what you guys would use?

well how do you go about removing the lower bolt on the dp that connects to the turbo? i got no room to move my wrench there?... i have to un bolt the dp under the car since i got it welded hrc to stock and unbolt the turbo from the manifold and have some hold the turbo dp etc while i unscrew that dame bolt...? any race or import store should be able to order it for you... also a domestic shop also.. cool Michael 99gs- hrc stage 2

You can unbolt the fan in front of the downpipe. Push the fan down as far as it will go and then you can get access to it. Then use a small wrench. You can do it.

hey dude, sounds good last time around 11pm tried to remove my fan and it would not move. there is only 4 bolts holding it plus 2 sensors right? also did you use a angeled or offset wrench? you used a small kind do you know what brand name it is? did you remove the coolant hose also? ....also do you got a special tool to tighten the exhaust manifold bolts with a ratchet ? i always got to use those stupid little keys... cool Michael 99gs- hrc stage 2

Yes there are 4 bolts holding the fan on. I used a adjustable wrench to get the downpipe bolts off. It was the only thing that would fit under there. And I have a allen wrench set that has rounded ends so you can tighten the manifold down at an angle.
