Is it squeeling when you turn the steering wheel really steep, or what about when you have all the electrical accessories on? if so then it's you power steering or althernator belt. I've never heard of a timing belt squeeling especially since it has teeth on it. I suppose the tentioner pully could be freezing up, and could cause it to squeel. If so the timing belt is under the black cover behind the alternator and power steering belts. There are a few people on the board who have a write up on how to change it. BUt, I doubt that's it, probably power steering or alternator belt. BTW the timing belt should be changed every 60000 miles.

Yeah, like he said, just check the tension to the accessory belts... if its not those, post back to us... but with big teeth, the timing belt is not slipping, if it is, maby a tooth here and there, but not a squealing, and if your timing belt is off, your car will run like complete ass.

When does it squeel? When you're just idling? When you turn the wheel? Give us some specifics! If it squeels when you turn the wheel, it's your power steering belt (trust me, I just dealt with that a week ago). Also, check your power steering fluid. If it's squeeling when you're idling and your car is still running just peachy, then you probably have a loose belt, but I highly doubt it's your timing belt.

it's prolly pulley noise. my idler pulley blew on me and it made a squealing noise before it died. definetly cherck that out you don't want a idler pulley givin out.
