Well put Jason, Although the things you listed can still be done with a manual... just makes them a little more interesting...
Avenger... one more reason I like drivign a manual I don't like being oblivious... except at work... then I just want 8 hours to disappear.
I feel that drivign a manual gives me a more direct connection with my car. One more thing I can control. When in a car I like to be able to control as many thing as I can. God knows I can't control anybody else on the road, or the road conditions, or any woman in my car, but I want to be able to control as much of my car as possible. (Yes I'm preparing for the control freak comments)
