no it wont contol timing because we have a distributorless ignition... and its pretty easy to install, general knowledge of wiring is required though, along with a multimeter and other electrical goodies. Hahn will send it with preset files ready for tuning, and tuning it will probably need emoji Dyno sessions are the only real way to tune these babies.

you can change the timming on distributorless ignitions.. infact I've been told with the right hardware, it's easier on distributorless cars. just get like an MSD DIS-2 or something of that caliber.

Yeah, but he was asking if he could control timing with the DFI seeing as how its a spark/fuel computer... and no they havent found a way for us to take advantage of the ignition section yet.

That all depends on the shop. Most are in the area of 50-75$/hour.

As far as the ignition control goes you will have to get something like the msd or crane. Both HRC and Howell recommended the Crane to me. It is boost dependent and the msd is rpm. (But I do think that msd has just come out w/ something that can also pull timing out according to boost)

(FYI)
Accel DFI gen 6 from HRC w/ fuel maps already programmed 1100.00

HRC is working on the gen 7 right now. They are trying to get it to control both ignition and fuel. Only problem is they don’t have any idea when it will be done and available.

Estimated cost of gen 7 1500+

The Neons use the Electromotive EMS which comes with a modified UR underdrive pulley with a crank trigger on it so you can completely control timing and not use our ECU at all.
