what is S-AFC and what dose it do?

S-AFC = Super American Friendly Car. Its the new line of Japanese import cars coming out in 2004 thats is supposed to be able to accept domestic performance mods for even more increased hp.

S-AFC Super air/fuel computer/controler/converter
Basicly what it does is takes a signal from a sensor in your intake that represents a ratio of your Air/fuel mixture, and allows you to adjust/convert that signal before its sent back to the ECU so that you can make your car think its getting the perfect ratio of air-to-fuel, which equals a bit more hp since our cars run really rich(more gas than air)from the factory.

it takes it's measurements from the O2 sensor in the exhaust.. not the sensors in the intake. if i'm not mistaken.

S-AFC has nothing to do with the O2 sensor. It functions differently for each car, but for us it reads MAP, TPS, and RPM. It modifies the MAP signal to fool the ECU into richening or leaning the fuel. You can use an auxiliary input to read the voltage from the O2 sensor in the sensor test screen. The S-AFC doesn't make any adjustments based on this input (its just for you to look at).

ahh yes.. need to use a data logger to see what your O2 voltage is throughout the RPM band.. and then use the S-AFC to adjust accordingly.. forgot about that.. hehe.
