1. im having trouble understanding the concept behind the high/low throttle setting, (i have 50% high, 35%low): is the low throttle range for anything basicly under actualy flooring it? if so, how do you tune with a digital A/F meter since its not @ WOT, won't the readings just cycle? I basicly dont understand the high/low settings purpose.

2. I realize that no to cars/settings are alike, but i followed the "tuning the S-AFC" how-to from the mods section on the main page and i got some (i thought) bizare settings. I first did the low throttle settings in 1000 rpm increments with a target of 0.92v which i generaly was able to get until the 5000rpm range. from memory it went like this: 1k -16%, 2k -15%, 3k -14%, 4k -13%, 4.5K -12%, 5k -8%, 6k -22%, 7k -24%. Could that be right? the high range was similar.
Im so confused...

Please, any help would really be appreciated. thanx
tim

The low throttle setting in my opinion is only partially effective. Since the ECU uses more than just the MAP sensor to set low throttle fuel, but it does make a difference. The low and high throttle do change your settings, and take an average between the two settings if you are between your low andhigh throttle point.

Those numbers seem okay, If Todd is maxed out at 11% and he has an extrude honed intake manifold he is pulling more air in than you and would need more fuel.

I would suggest making sure you have a good power and ground coming into the A/F meter, make sure you are getting accurate reading. Also do you have an EGT? This would be a good way to see if your tuning too lean (too hot) It's a great safety tool for tuning. Guy did a great job on the S-AFC write up on tuning, if you followed his directions you should be fine. All cars and all ECU's will handle things little differently, so don't be surprised you don't have identicle settings to someone else.
