I just drove my friend's new auto toyota corolla today, and I felt suprise that his car has mucch more torque than my auto. and I cannot kept up with him from the light. I have the CAI and NI exhaust, are those two things are the reasons taht make me lose the lose low end torque or actually corolla engine is better? maybe I shd took off one of the mods?
thx for any input...

130 is probablyl pretty close to what you are making (give or take) so you are pretty even there... The VVT-i is probably what is what is killing you at the low end. The continuously changing timing really helps out at lower RPM.

the corolla he got is a brand new one with only 11 miles, basically it's a new car!
I havent cahnge the timing belt ever(I am in 80K now), If I change the timing belt, water pump, belt tensioner, tensioner pulley , idler pulley, will them give me some power?
which pulley I listed above can be replace by UDP?
Moreover, anyone ever went to burchur racing in Ohio to let them do anything to your car, is it a trustworthy one?

yes your auto kills you, the exhaust takes away from your low end. the intake helps it but won't cancel out the loss from exhaust. in my opinion get the bored tb and the pulley

You can get that pulley at ptuning.com for about ten bucks cheaper than howell. If you do get it from PT, when you go to checkout click the "redeem coupon" link and type in "pt2gnt" it gives you 5 percent off, knocks 8 bucks off the price. Just ordered mine today, so about the time I get that I will be sending my TB out to be bored. Cant wait, ive heard good things about both ( well except for braking pulleys trying to get them off!)

thx all the info , guys...I changed my CAI to stock intake yesterday and I notice I gained back some torque. I will go ahead to order the UDP and see what will be up..
