how do i titen the belt but i titened it a little and it still sqweeks loud?

i need help

WHOA there. I don't know how you tighten the timing belt, but I wouldn't do that. I think you're referring to PS or a drive belt of sort. Are you tightening the tesioner bolt on the pass side down by the A/C compressor? If you get belts too tight, then they will mess up whatever they are driving. Make sure that when tighten a belt, that you have a little "slack". Push your finger down on the belt and it should go down about 1/4". Check your belt to make sure it's in good cond too. That should help. Also make sure that you loosened the lock nut before you crank down on the tensioner.(Good way to bust that bolt and NOT tighten the belt)
