i have an aem cold air intake on my car and was just wondering what the hell that big ass hole towards the bottom is for? i know the top one is for that vavle cover hose. i plugged it though. but what the hell is that bottom one for? o yea its a 98 gs

The "big ass hole towards the bottom" as you put it is for vehicles equipped with the air injection hose leading from the exhaust to the stock inlet pipe. The Vinyl cap that came with the CAI is for that hole.
