OK THIS IS REALLY STARTING BOTHER THE HELL OUT OF ME AND I AM STARTING TO THINK ABOUT TRADING IN MY CAR. WHEN I FIRST GOT MY CAR IT WAS BONE STOCK. I RAN A 17.3 AT THE TRACK. WELL I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS BUT THAT EMBARRESED THE HELL OUT OF ME. SO I MADE UP EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK. WELL THE NEXT DAY MY TRANNY SHATTERED TO PIECES SO I FIGURED THAT WAS AN EXCELLENT EXCUSE. SO I GET THE TRANNY FIXED AND THEY REPLACED MY CV JOINTS WHILE THEY WERE AT IT. WELL EVER SINCE I GOT THE CAR BACK FROM ALL THAT WORK WHILE SPEEDING UP AND SLOWING DOWN THIER IS A SLIGHT HOP IN MY WHEEL AT A CERTAIN POINT WHEN IT SPINS. THEN I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO AND I MEAN NO PICKUP SPPED AT ALL. I FLOOR IT AND IT RUMBLES LOUD AS HELL BUT DOES NOT MOVE ANYWERE. NEXT WHEN I AM AT A SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY I HAVE THIS REALLY BAD GAS PEDAL VIBRATION THAT IS ANNOYING.SO THEN AFTER ALL THAT HAPPENS MY AC AND POWER STEERING BELT SNAPPED. SO I GOT THAT FIXED AND THAT ALSO SLOWED ME DOWN A SHIT LOAD. SO AFTER I NOTICED ALL THAT I STIL FIGURED I WOULD BUY THE AEM COLD AIR INTAKE FOR IT AND GO TO T HE TRACK AGAIN. WHAT DO I RUN THIS TIME A 17.1!!! WHAT KIND OF SHIOT IS THAT? I HAVE TAKEN THE CARR BACK TO THE MITSUBISHI DEALER THAT PERFORMED THE WORK ON IT AND TOLD THEM EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CHECKED EVRYTHING AND IT WAS ALL DONE PERFECT, THAT ITS NORMAL TO HAVE THINGS DO THAT SINCE ITS ALL AFTERMARKET. SO I TAKE IT TO ANOTHER MITSUBISHI DEALER AROUND HERE AND THEY SAID NOPE EVERYTHING IS GOOD, THAT MY TIRES ARE CAUSING ALL THAT. BUT THEY ARE BRAND NEW TOYO PROXES. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER AROUND HERE TO GET IT LOOKED AT AND THEY SAID THEY CHARGE $80 TO RUN A DIAGNOSTICS CHECK ON IT. THATS ALOT OF DAMN MONEY. WHAT THE HELL CAN BE WRONG WITH MY CAR? HELP GUYS I AM REALLY GETTING PISSED. IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN CHECK MY SENSORS MYSELF? WHAT ELSE CAN I DO? PLEASE HELP ME OUT.. O YEA IT IS A 98 ECLIPSE GS 5 SPPED

well...if it is bogging down it might not be a suspension thing. But...i know it isnt your tires, it could be ur lower arm ball joint if the recall wasnt done, maybe ur rotors are warped big time....i dont know...im just naming possibilities. I say...pay whatever it costs to fix it or diagnose it because we all know satan (mitsubishi dealer emoji) doesnt do stuff right the first time and bitches and moans when u tell them they did something wrong. So...if u find anything wrong with it make them fix it because it should be free.

Hey Twistie, I never did get an E-mail back from you. Are there more dsm'ers in KC??? I checked your site, pretty nice.

Bebe, you're describing several DIFFERENT probs. The most simple question I can ask is if your tires were balanced correctly? Hopping and gas pedal vibes are all symptoms of that. How do you launch? If you mash the pedal to the metal, just about every single sensor in your car is gathering and colaborating info to move your butt(it takes a sec). Ask to make sure the correct shafts were used. How about did they turn down your flywheel and use a new clutch when they replaced your shattered tranny?

Shit is all apart. Typical...

well i really doubt that they turned my flywheel and all that good stuff. and the cv joints i guess are the rightones i am not sure. i do need to get my tires balanced. but what can cause my slow speed.

All of the above. If the wrong axels fit but are in there then there's a balance prob there. Wheels not being balanced, another prob where HP is being wasted by vibration(not much though). Maybe your plugs and wires are filled w/ stuff. Man look over your car and check general engine stuff.

Shit is all apart. Typical...
