I have a post asking about the new AEM engine managment system thats a plug and play set-up. our cars are listed(well the eclipse is, not sure if thats only for the turbo guys or if the 420a is in there too)
any difference between the one AFX is supposedly working on and the AEM one?

AEM is NOT making it for our cars. The EMS is made for the 4g63, and one of the head engineers told me they don't plan on making it for the 420a since the plug is totally different. Also, with these systems, you have to know how to personally tune your car, or else you will blow it up. They don't come preset (not like an ECU). It's basically like a standalone computer that you need a laptop to tune so that your car will run right. The $1500 price tag on the AEM EMS also shows that it is meant for hardcore racers, it's not just a simple ECU upgrade. The ECU upgrades offered by other companies are preprogrammed so you can't alter the programming on the fly, and that's why they are a lot cheaper (you can't set it up for your specific mods etc).
