Has anyone removed the evaporative emmisions crap out from under the car? How much does that crap weigh? What does it do? My evap emmision "thingy" gave my ecu a code and I was wondering about pulling it out.

I removed mine becaweu I needed the room for an oil cooler. It bacisically allows gas fumes from yoru gas tank to be absorbed in a charcoal box, and then sucked into the intake as needed at idle and under patial throttle to help fuel economy and prevend your car from smelli like gas. my car doesn't smell like gas, adn I still dont' get any codes becasue I left all the electronics hooked up. they just don't hav eany hoses going to them :-p
