I got my t-body today and was wondering how difficult or easy it is to install or should i save myself some headaches and have someone else do it? The UDP i'm gonna have a local speed shop do it, i'm gonna do the motor mounts myself, but i'm not sure about the TB. Anybody done it? Lemme know. Thanks.

It's held on by two 13mm bolts. It's easy as hell.

I did it myself (along with a CAI at the same time) on my 420a SOHC.. was easy as pie.

isn't the TB the easiest install there is to do??

if you did the strut bars then you can certainly do a t/b. two bolts, and some sensors. not hard at all. do it your self, so easy

ahh grasshoppa, u better get yourself a good torx wrench for them sensors, #20 u will need! didnt have to go back over the install after i did mine. but i did have to go out and buy a second torx wrench.

noticeable gains, just takes about a day for the ecu to learn the increased airflow at idle and cruisin speed

I cant get the torx wrench to budge....any suggestions on what to try I put some WD40 on there and will be giving it another shot tomorrow

also what is the thin piece of plastic between the TB? When I took off the bolts the thin plastic was cracked and falling off do I need it?

If the torx bolts are really tough to get out get someone with an impact driver to get them out. I broke 3 torx drivers before giving up and getting a shop to take the sensors out.

The thin piece of paper is your TB gasket. Replace it. Costs about $3 from the dealership.

Thanks for the help guys. After i got all the sensors and everything off it was easy. Some of the sensors where a bitch and a half to get off, but after that, easy as pie. She rev's much faster now, throttle response is instantaneous, pulls a little harder around 3500 RPM now. I likey.
