#14829, "fan question?"

For some reason the only the driver side fan comes on. I have never seen the passenger one come on at all. Is it a back up, or are they both supposed to come on together?

thanks,
chris

The passenger fan turns on when you turn on the vent.

could you switch that wiring so that the passenger one would come on all the time? It seems that it would help it to cool better. It right in front of the header.

Yeah i believe the second fan comes on with the A/C only, or if your car's temp gets to high...

My Porche buddy said he knows a way to get both fans to run and to let the fans run for up to 2min after the car is shut off to cool the radiator. He has it on his car but I still have to talk to him on how to do it on my car.

Engine mods-
RS Akimoto short (P.O.S.!) intake, Greddy Sport Cat-back ex.
Suspension-
Ground Control Coil-overs,KYB AGX shocks, RS Akimoto strut bar(front) TSW Trouphies 18x8,Nitto 555's.
Exterior-
Paint! C.F. Hood, Z3 fenders, Street Fighter Gen 2

There is a cheap way to get both fans to run atthe same time, jump the power wire between the two fans.

You could install a relay and run separate power.

Or run power and have it be switched, where you could control when it's on.

Or a combinatiomn of switch and relay.

And Brian your friend has electronics similar to a turbo timer. When the car is shut off it trips a circuit that will stay closed for a couple minuts running poer through and then open up stopping power to the fans.
