might have something to do with the fact that our engine is switched around from most cars too. Seems like all other cars have the trans on the other side. just a thought.

Left? Right? Standing behind the car they are on the left.

The weird thing is that on 1gs they are on the right, and the gas door is on the left, opposite of 2gs...

When I switch between the 1g and 2g alot I keep on forgetting on which side of the gas pump to pull up to

I don't know why they changed the exhaust from right to left, never really thought about it either

Cavaliers types and Camaros types are, most Mitsubishis are, most Hondas have them on the same side too, don't they?

It was under the impression it purely has to do with fuel tank filler location as mentioned already. I remember wondering this once and then studying a lot of cars and that is what I figured out at least.
