I don't recommend it. I went throught a CFDF in 5000 miles. I've heard too many bad things about them.

Buy a clutchmasters.

I just got mine put in about a month ago and now it has more chatter than 30 ppl in a meatlocker....for some reason, centerforce seems to make a damn good clutch for everything else, they just shit on us though.. emoji Where did everyone get their CM from??? Tried looking and everyone I talked to seemed to think they didn't have one for our cars, kept saying turbo only. Can you give me a part number so I can get rid of this baby rattle, i mean clutch.....

Did anyone actually buy the modular CF clutch? I would think the weights would help it grab and hold better.

only thing is, i dont have the 700 or so bucks a clutch masters clutch costs. ill only be running 5psi on it...but if it sucks that bad ill just wait. on a side note, my buddy needs a clutch for his near stock 97 GS, is the Sachs clutch better than the stock one? it sure costs a lot less.

I had a Luks clutch for a while.. Held up better than my Centerforce, and it was supposed to be a "stock replacement"

man I went through three clutch masters stage three clutches in one year and two of them were a week apart and the first and second were a month. The first one lasted a year, second a month, third a week. Then I bought a CF and have had no problems with its. I hate clutchmasters. All my cm clutches blew springs with a motor with no nos and no turbo running on 9:1 compression.

ZOOM motorsports. They are a shop here in my town, in Oregon. HE can get it to you and all you have to do is call. 541-673-7813. Just ask for dustin and tell him that chris martin sent you . He will hook you up. I think the price was like 460. or so.

I glazed my CF in 5000 miles. No grip - couldn't rev over 4000RPM without it coming loose.

If you plan on making any serious power, buy a CM. If it breaks, i'll buy you another one.

Dont bother installing it, you'll be doing it all over again. Had mine in for about a yr, maybe longer. it was okay but I could get it to slip if I really wanted it to (aggressive redline shifts). Definately not a tire chirping clutch (although if you combine 14" tires and 10lbs of boost you can chirp 4th gear at 90+mph even with a shitty clutch).

So far mine has had some good grip, but then again the only mods I have are intake, exhaust and cam gears, it's just that damn chatter that's killing me. Hate starting the car, sounds like the damn thing is about to rattle out of the car... emoji

I would probably suggest it to someone with a stock eclipse with a exhaust and intake or something of that nature, but if you plan on running boost, i tell you, its gonna slip. I come half way through a gear, boost spools and then i hit revlimit cause the damn grip gives... dual friction = no friction with boost. If you have had probs with the stage 3, just get the big dog stage 4 modular, if you break that thing i'll be surprised.

We're just trying to save you from the same headache we have gone through or are still going through in some cases... Its no fun to spend all that money to make your car fater, and then not be able to put the power to the ground.... You can order clutchmasters products from HRC, their prices are the same as everyone else I have priced, or visit clutchmasters website for info.

Yeah not too many discounts on CM almost everyone including CM sells em for the same damn high prices. I did do what no ones ever done, actually got a good price from extreme motorsports. A whopping $37 off retail for a stage 3 ($700 vs MSRP of $737). That was yrs ago. Good luck now.

dang you guyz what ru doing with your cars? My stock clutch has lasted my car 92k+ miles and you guys say you can go through a clutch in a week, that's like hella $$$$ and labor. How much is a stock clutch? I can get mine to slip at high rpm now because it is getting a little old but it still grabs. I guess I'm too gentle on my car ^_^ I always double clutch and heel and toe....

You want to know what happens to a clutch with lots of miles and then you add loads of boost and take it to the track? Go to www.asog.net/kiku/bustedtrans and enjoy the hair standing up on the back of your neck!

I got quoted for a CM Stage 4 clutch for around $500. I plan to buy it soon but havent done it yet so i cant guarantee you'll get this price. Talk to James at sixthgearonline.com....their phone# is 727-365-7379. His AIM is SixthGear81 and he can quote you.

Good luck.

My stock clutch lasted 103K miles with nitrous during half of it. It never slipped. In fact I replaced it only because my tranny blew. believe me once you replace yours it will be all downhill from there unless you start with a monster clutch from the beginning. And you'd be suprised at how low labor gets to repeat customers. I was only paying $200 in labor.

So why is it that a stock clutch will always outlast a replacement clutch? I've noticed this because my cousin has an old 280ZX and replaced his clutch not too long ago then he had to replace it again like a year later.

For you guys melting clutches what kind of break in did you give the clutch? If a non-modulat design did you resurface the flywheel before install?
