#1438, "please feel free to help me with this?"

2 days after the installation of my apexi n1 catback, the check engine light comes on and stays on. The manual says it should be a problem with the emissions maybe. Did this ever happen to anybody else? I've never had problems with my car(yet), i just hit the 50K odometer mark last week. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you applicable for the key dance (95-97)? If so, check your codes. if not... Buy a datalogger or take it to the dealer.

check your O2 sensors. thats the only thing i can think of that an exhaust could do to make the engine light come on.

aem cai
pacesetter headers
gs-t exhaust
red altezzas
rims, tires, and a bunch of other little stuff....that list is way too short....more will come!

Check the 02 sensor on the pipe. You may have messed it up when you removed it or maybe just forgot to hook it back up. If the ecu doesn't get a reading from it ecu will complain and throw the CEL.

Without actually starting the car turn the key to the positions for on-off-on-off-on, leave the key in the on position and count the CE light flashes 55 is end of code and I think you can get to the code listing from the main page. Chances are it's your downstream O2 sensor.
