#14242, "fuel filter replacement?"

Is it true you have to drop the gas tank to replace the fuel filter? My Chiltons manual says I do. I have a 99 eclipse. Does anybody know how to change the fuel filter. Thanks!!

I replaced my didn't have to drop the gas tank, but I did spill a lot of gas on me when I did it. Yep, it's in front of the right rear tire, and no you don't have to drop the gas tank.

to avoid the gas from getting on you run the car.. then take out the relays that control the fuel pump and the car will just shut down.
on my 95 they are the relays on the drivers side right in the corner near the firewall.. i have 4 in a row.. it was this one i think

1 2 3 4

i think it was 2 but i took out 1 and 2.. and the car shut off

I love dino and 2gnt. ####ers (my word) bliz stole it but i let him borrow it
