the only ignition things i've heard of for us is various type of plug wires and some guys get the accel coil for some sport bike. i think it's a kawi. not sure. but they use that coil and mount it where the stock coil is. may take some custom fab eg brackets to get it goin. oh yeah and the spark plugs. get ngk bkr5e-11's at any autoparts store that sells ngk

thanks beefgg for the sig

You should be able to use either the MSD MDIS-2 or the Crane HDI6-2 (or whatever their names are). I know people on the baord are using either one or the other.

Always start with plugs when you have hesitation. They cost $1.50 each and a LOT of times are the whole problem. The next thing is spark plug wires. If you have an ignition or coil problem you would have a CEL and codes telling you there is a problem. MSD is supposed to have made a replacement coil for us that will bolt right on the valve cover but I don't know if it is out yet.
