#13906, "catalytic convertor and CEL"

recently my check engine light came up flashing 6-4 which is the exhaust manifold or catalytic convertor. So i figured i might as well change the cat with a higher flowing one. here are my questions:
1. Is a high flow cat worth it on n/a?
2. Will my check engine light come on with the high flow cat?
any feedback is greatly appreciated. tia. -=jay=-

i don't think its the cat. well it could be. i gutted my cat out a couple of weeks ago and haven't seen a CEL. i would just gut the cat if i were you, its a lot less expensive and you would probably get better preformance.

its that easy, takes about ten minutes to pull all the crap out and if you have air tools it really easy to get the car off. i don't know about the a/f ration though.

A funner way to gut your cat would be to go to the track and run a couple gallons of high octane race fuel through your car, that will take care of your cat.
