I have read that on the 2g there was a problem with the head bolts. the right side was miss engineered and bottomed out giving false readings on the torque specs needed, causing oil to leak from the head after 60,000 miles. The manufacture fixed that problem on the 99 but the question I have is does the ARP head bolts need to be cut down as well?
Do I need to cut the bolts down on the ARP head bolts?

Sorry about the late reply. Not sure with the ARP bolts. Compare the ARP head bolt length to the OEM and if it is the same then it is likely. Better solution is just use ARP studs versus bolts.
Additionally, use a depth caliper and compare your measurements to the effective underhead length of the the bolt.
