After I replaced my head gasket on my 420a, I turned the car on and two odd things happened.

1) The front wipers went on at max speed and would not go off

2) The SRS light came on

The wipers work normally after the first start-up but my SRS light is still glowing. Does anyone know why this may have happened? The fix seems easy enough but I want to know the root of the problem. Is it something serious i.e. I may have disrupted an impact sensor? I don't want to just clear a light before I know its reason.
