soldered all connections except for the MAP signal. That way I can remove the AFC very easily by unconnecting two points and connecting the stock wires back together.

Well my afc is done straight up weird. From the ecu out here goes. All the connections are done using wire taps except for the MAP sensor. That wire is cut and has male/female ends on it as do the the corresponding wires from the afc. This way I can bypass the afc if I ever feel like it.

Now at the afc unit it self I have another connector that is about 5 inches from the unit itself (not the one that it already comes with). This connector is there so I can just remove my afc entire incase I think someone is gonna bust into my car or something. Serves 2 purposes ... 1. my afc won't get stolen 2. can't keep the car started because no map sensor signal (I tried it ... turns over then just dies) so the car can't get stolen. emoji

And finally ... no CEL.

I even soldered the the Map connections to the little connector they gave me. Crinped it and melted solder in there.
