I've been working on this recently finally had the conversion done on my 1999 Dodge Avenger same conversion could be done on a 2GNT 1996 and up (impossible on a 1995 )
basically you need a TCM from a chrysler cloud car with autostick you need to splice 2 wires in the TCM connector on pin 5 and 44 for autostick UP (5) and DOWN (44) you need some kind of momentary switch and when you pull line 5 or 44 to ground the transmission shift no need for a special shifter when you are in D you are normal and in 2 the autostick is ON

easy to do actually I was surprised
1 glitch the speedo reads twice the speed because Chrysler doesn't use the same number of pulses , our cars have mitsu made speedo but chrysler made TCM the software in our own TCM is different to take care of that difference
2 solutions 1 going to the stealer and have the TCM flash for a change of the pinion factor by 2 = $$$$ 2 learn to use a soldering iron and built a simple Divide by 2 circuit using a CD4018 IC and a power transistor (about $5 total)
I didn't had the time this afternoon to install my circuit I will do that tommorow afternoon

there's one important detail that I overlooked when I wrote and that I can't find the answer now
in 1996 all 420a version A/S and 2GNT , had the TCM moved from the engine bay to inside the car behind the radio while the V6 A/S kept the TCM under the hood all the chrysler cars with A604 also kept the TCM under the hood
I'm double checking my books this morning and can't find if the TCM inside the car is a plain chrysler TCM with the usual pinout and connector or if it was a special version made just for the 420a A/S and 2gnt
if it's not a stock TCM this would kill any chance to autostick your 2gnt
the video was made with my 1999 V6 Dodge Avenger, my 1995 2.4 Avenger beeing in car heaven now

major bug tonight driving on the highway it's not just the speedo showing the speed the tcm thinks you are doing twice the speed too I hit the 130 mph speed limiter while doing 65 mph and the engine cut
so the electronic circuit to fix the speedo won't be needed but a session with a DRB-3 scan tool will surely be to change the pinion factor in the software
