bought this car last year and it is a wiring nightmare, i have a problem i believe its a short but not sure and not sure where. i cant buy a brand new fuse box n wire harness from a dealer cause its like 600-700 plus 100 an hr labor and im broke. ive been looking threw wires pulled so many extra wires out (some1 installed lights +) and then cut them let em sit. i think i found which one is for the ignition just dont know how to test it with out blowin fuses everytime i hook up the battery. any help would be appriciated, otherwise im gunna end up paying a mech to come over which i dont want to have to do.

So has the car ever started and ran since you got it? You kind of aren't giving us any info to pinpoint the issue. Did you check continuity on all the fuses?

Best way to start figuring out wiring issues is to go get a Chilton's repair manual from a local parts store... and a multi-meter. You can start tracking down the grounds and find out what still has power even though your car is turned off. There should only be a few things say your dome light...
