#136217, "smoke comming from breather filter"

hi guys i have a 98 mitsubishi eclipse rs with a complete engine build running 20psi boost. i am getting quite a bit of smoke comming from the breather filter on the driver side of the valve cover. Im not gettint any from the passenger side but i have a pcv valve on that one. i dont get smoke from the tail pipe. my exhaust is 2.5" with a resinator and a straight thru can muffler so the exhaust isnt filtering the smoke. i was wonderin if its my piston rings or my valve seals....or maybe its neither...some help what to look for would be greatly apreciated...thank you

Seems like its pressurizing. Running 20PSI you should ditch the PCV. Run a catch can or double catch can. There are many options on this. The best in my opinion is to have one side on the turbo inlet so it gets a vacuum. Downside is if catch can isn't efficient then you get an oily turbo and intercooler.

Hmmm.I do know some v8s do when on the dyno. They will pump some out of their filters. Did you change the rings?

Did you set the rings in and have the gaps at the right spots? I think its if looking at an X bottom oiling is bottom left top oiling is top right lower sealing ring at bottom left and top ring at top left?
