So amazing how much changes in less than a years times. Things are going better and worse, always at the same time. In the build plan things have also changed, although the goal still remains the same ~200whp 420a NA, with hitting 13.9s in the 1/4.

With my current job and resources available to me, I've decided to go a different path. Stroking to a 2.2L, along with going with a more mild compression of 10.5:1. Reason being after I accomplish my goals, this will leave the door open for some overdue boost if I decide on that route.

Regardless I have my Rods


And I have my Pistons


Having some total seal gapless rings coming in the mail, and just got my DC strut bar, which with how beefy it looks over the ebay strut bar, and hoping it will help with the ever elusive problem of FWD traction.

Waiting for a machine shop to free up some so I can get my Callies 2.2 crank modified to have the timing notches put in it, as well as turned down, and then Aero-Shed (cant wait to show pics of the aero-shedding), this car should have no windage, at least that's the goal.

Due to budget issues, going to keep the AFX ECU another year, but do eventually plan to go MS, and got a good deal on some Acell 330cc/min injectors just in case.

Did get a 60mm TB, and a non-cruise control Throttle cable, I like the extra length of it, cleaned up the engine bay some, and shaved a few lbs.

Also plan on grabbing some drag slicks in the next few weeks, and a steering wheel hub so I can install my aftermarket steering wheel and get rid of the air bags (more weight shavings ftw!). Guess thats about it so far for updates, but wanted to share with everyone.

Sorry bro, but a strut tower bar is not going to affect FWD traction problems.

Got my DC bar, installed it, and figured wow, this looks nice, lets do some wire tucking, moved some sensors down a few inches, threw some wires underneath the motor mounts, just a little cleaning here and there, nothing big. Also got a powder coated hood latch on the cheap installed, not in the picture, its a small thing, but its the small things that count


Then even better news, got my belated x-mas present to me from me. What can I say been a horrible winter, so can never have to much snow tires, now need to get these mounted to the Weld's so I can drive safely during the upcoming blizzards

Those are some nice slicks, where those from Buschur racing. I remember Dave announced a special sale on dsmtuners. Wrong tires for winter winter.

Did you cut the oem battery tray in half to fit the small battery.

I know about the fuel injector harness tuck under the fuel rail, yours is different unless. Can you do a drawing outline of your wire tuck.

Tires are from summit via my employee discount through my work.

Battery tray is cut to make room for the intake pipe because of the AMM IM.

As for the wire tuck, mainly was if you look at the cam gear side, underneath the motor mount i dropped that wire down there as opposed to going straight over the VC. Then a few wires I hid by the IM, but cant see them through that picture. Also eliminated some stragglers from the AC/PS, and then took the few hoses from the EVAP into the hole by the front bumper.
