I am wondering how far the cam seals need to go in. Where they are in the pic, hasnt leaked oil, however, I think that the seal needs to to keep backing up a little (like 1 mm or so) untill it hits the lip in the picture. Is that correct?

I have always installed mine flush against the outer surface of the head. No problems.
