The machine shop called me the other day said the block was ready for pistons and needed .020 pistons. Also he said he wanted to talk to me about my head. Well got the pistons ordered and they arrived the other day. Wiseco 8:8.1 .020. Got to the shop yesterday and the block and head turned out sweet. the problem with the head was around the bottom were it needed to be surfaced was corroded and needed to be welded up and then surfaced. He said it would take about 2hrs at 180 an hr so i think imma build up the block and then figure out what im going to do about the head i think im going to practice boring the ports out on that one and buy another one hope it doesn't do the same thing.

180 an hour? wouldn't it be cheaper to get another sued block bored to .020?

Would it be cheaper to do what?
im not dropping 360 when i know i should be able to find a good head and get it cleaned for under that. Member i only spend 160 bucks on this long block. So at this point in time 360+ is pointless on this head.
