anyone ever use one of these and see any substantial gains?? I plan on boosting this 420a eclipse if i get it. But I want to see what kind of power I can crank out of it NA, but i'd imagine if i got this it'd be useful both ways.
Actually that's^^the OBX intake I did the thread on. While the link he shows looks like a knock off of the OBX. So its a knock off of a knock off, lol. Wow those ARE some really bad welds!
I would absolutely not trust that.

I sent my IM to Eddy Fierro of FierroRacing. He is based out of Phoenix and has been doing high quality headwork for a long time. It is currently on it's way back to me now. I got him to gasket match the runners, remove the casting from inside the runners, grind the injector humps down and port the t/b opening to accept 60mm. Price for the whole deal is $150, with shipping both ways included. I will post up pics when it arrives. He also drills & taps the IM for Megasquirt air intake temp sensor and coolant temp sensors.
Here is a link to his services provided for the Neon/420a:

There are water jackets in the intake manifold? News to me!
My upper & lower IM were also done by Fierro back in 2004. He did a good job - some bad things happened with him a couple years later and a couple members here - thought he was down and out of the game.
Glad to hear he is back and legitimate for the time being.
EDIT: I see where you got that from, you just copied the advertising lingo from Fierro's site
The front facing intake manifold found on the Neons sometimes has the thermostat housing integrated, hence that service provided for them. If you find a water jacket on a 2GNT IM, let me know.

I wish I could say I was impaired somehow when I posted that. Thanks Dave.

Though I would do all that work myself, that's a really good price. Eddie has a very large knowledge base and experience with our cars (as well as many others, He has been doing "flow" work for many years). I would be very confident in his work. His ability/experience is certainly on par with AMM (actually more extensive).
