I just recently purchased a 95 Eagle Talon Esi which had the timing belt busted and 7 bent vavles. I pulled off head and had a machine shop fix the head. Installed everything back together and the car starts up rough but then idles fine after a couple seconds. Car will sit and idle ok with a little stumble but won't overheat. I finally decided to take it around the block and car ran fine the first 2 blocks then rpms would come down slow and I would have a hard time putting it in gear and then idle jumped up to about 4k. Came home and checked for vacuum leaks but didn't find any. After turning it off and then turning it back on it would idle ok for a couple of seconds then starts a little stumble again. Any help would be apppreciated.

I had kinda the same problem when I changed my IAC. You should check all of your sensors for good connection and possible broken wires.
