Hi, I am having a problem with my EVAP that keeps throwing a code not allowing me to get my car smogged. My first problem is that every time that I go to open the gas cap I never here any gas escaping while slowly opening the gas cap. I have since replaced the gas cap with a new one but still it is not holding any pressure. Has anybody ever had this problem and can help me pin point what's causing it? Lastly, in the picture below there is a spot on the intake where 3 vacuum hoses come out, the two on the side are going to the right spots but the one in the middle isn't going anywhere and is just cap off (the previous owner did something pretty stupid and I think at one time had a nitrous kit hooked up). My question is does anybody know or can look on their car to where the vacuum line in the middle is supposed to go. This would be greatly appreciated!
(The one in the middle is the line where I have no clue where it goes)
(this is where the line ends in which it has been caped off)

Yeah, there is a line going to it and it goes into the right hand side of the picture that I posted of the three lines that go out or come in of the intake. Is there any chance that you can trace your line to see where it ends up at.

NVM. You should have a vac diagram on the hood of your car that will tell you a general location for it.
EDIT: about 1 min of searching netted this...
Originally posted by Star Turbo Talon One the back of the Intake. 1 is for Cruise control vacuum box. 1 goes to EGR solinoid. the third goes to the hardline that runs over the valvecover to the front of the motor. (there is a check valve between the intake nipple and the hardline). From there it run directly to the fram where there is another hardline. The one on the TB runs to a rubber line on the passenger side that goes to the frame.

Perfect! and thanks. I would of searched in which I always do and that is why I hardly ever post because I usually find the answers from previous post but this one I did not know what to actually search for. My last question than is anybody ever came across the problem of no gas escaping from the gas cap when you open it to fill up. Your supposed to hear a hissing sound as you slowly open the gas cap which means the gas cap is doing its job but my problem is as mention before it doesn't hold. It is not the gas cap as I just replaced that but it has something else to do with the EVAP system where it is leaking. Has anybody came across this or might have an idea to where I should look or should automatically replace a part.

Thanks Slo2g for the advice. I gotta start somewhere and hopefully it doesn't start causing me an arm and a leg. If anybody else has any other probable causes please feel free to chime in

BTW, is it possible for you to give me a link or where I might be able to buy a new EVAP purge solenoid? Do you think napa would have it? Thanks as always for your help!
