#135411, "Turns over but no start. Need help narrowing down"

Two weeks ago i was driving into a gas station and my car died. I thought it was just out of gas so i filled it up and it still wouldn't start. My dads buddy has a shop so he picked me up and towed the car. An hour later it started right up and wouldn't do it again. I replaced the cam sensor and it fixed a stumbling problem i was having before. So then this last week i was driving around and all of a sudden when i left from a dead stop I had a really rough idle and the car didn't have power, so again i took it to the same shop. My MSD coil went out and was causing a miss fire on cylinder #1, he replaced it and it ran fine Friday and Saturday. So today I changed an intercooler piping coupling and ran about 3 feet of exhaust wrap from the turbo down. I went to start it and it had the same rough idle as before. I turned the motor off and went to start it again and now it just turns over. Sometimes it'll fire once and die right away. The car is a 1998 420a eclipse with a turbo and venom control module for a 2.4 honda. I really don't know much about the car. I bought it in July and it's been great for me until now. Any trouble shooting advice would be greatly appreciated. O yea, my check engine light isn't on either. My wires are MSD and the plugs are fine.

First, read my PM to you, and follow the corrective measures I indicated.

Does your Check Engine Light turn on briefly when you Key On? What I am getting at is, is the bulb out only? Or have you plugged in an OBDII reader to verify there are no codes. Unless you know the bulb works, saying that it is not on means nothing.

Next, why did you replace the parts such as the cam sensor and intercooler pipe coupler? You are not indicating much in the way of your troubleshooting process, rather it seems you are replacing random parts.

You need to give a full mod list so we understand what you are working with. Next, you need to logically troubleshoot in the way of determining adequate fuel pressure, vacuum levels, timing, adequate spark, WBO2 readings, etc.

id say for the time it takes to do it, pull the injectors and give them a good cleaning, and as stated above, check the fuel pressure

I wouldn't recommend that at all. To adequately clean injectors takes more than just a few minutes and simple tools. I 2nd the idea of following proper trouble shooting procedures and methodical testing. $10 fuel pressure tester would be my personal first step also its a great investment.

In my PERSONAL experience symptoms like yours were caused by:

8 OF 10: Crank sensor failing
1 OF 10: Faulty coolant sensor/connector
1 OF 10: Faulty fuel system/pump/pump relay

The screen name says it all

I replaced the coupling because my other one tore. Fuel pressure was good and had spark. The car sat for about a week, I didn't really do anything to it and it started right up and ran fine for two week, no problem. Then on Friday I tore my oil feed line to my turbo and after replacing it, it wouldn't start. It fires once or twice and quits. It seems like when i take my intercooler piping off in that section (throttle body to fuse box) is when it acts up. Any chance maybe the cam sensor wiring might be bad? My mods are godspeed turbo kit, venom control module for a 2.4 honda, and turbo back exhaust with no cat.
